Minimal Nordic Christmas Tree

How a minimal Nordic Christmast tree can be cozy and festive!

This past weekend has been a long weekend for us and we have enjoyed it a lot! Our tree has been up for one week already, but here in Spain, the official date to put up the tree is on this long weekend. Since we won’t be here at home for Christmas [we will be in Canada], I wanted to have it up a bit earlier to enjoy! So today as part of our 12 days of Christmas blog hop I am sharing my minimal Nordic Christmas tree here on the blog.

Our last post was all about pretty presents, find mine here.

Minimal Nordic Christmas Tree

Last year I bought this faux tree at a local store here and I am not regretting it. We have put up a real one the years before and it has been a little bit of a pain to be honest. Trees are different here where I live and I think pine trees are just not made for the warmer weather. It would be dry after a week and look awful, even after watering it every day… Anyways, I’m happy with my faux tree although I’m thinking of flocking it maybe next year.

As you know, I am living the less is more life and so my tree is also very minimal. Take a look!

I added little strings of star led lights to it, but not too many…
Simple ornaments like little wooden trees and stars, some DIY’s in there as well.
It’s a slim tree, perfect for our smaller home.
I put the base in a felt basket which makes it look taller I think.

Thank you for stopping by the blog today, have a great week!

It’s a beauty Katrin. Love the little wooden ornaments you’ve added and those beautiful snowflakes. I had to go up and down so I could see all the bits, I was so worried I’d missed something 😀

Your tree is quaint and bright and fits your style. I noticed the white berry ornament you got from Sam. I love it Katrin. Stay warm when you get to Ontario. It must be exciting to have a trip to look forward to.
