How to make a DIY wooden bead tassel adornment for your summer tote!
The other day I made a cute DIY beach tote from a rug and I was thinking of also making a shopping tote from rope. I saw some on Pinterest and just love how they look, especially for summer. Then, by coincidence, I found this one in our local Primark for I think around 10€. You can’t beat that price tag and as much as I love making stuff, I bought it and called it done! But the tote looked a little blah! I love blah and minimal, but I thought it needed just a little tassel adornment. So I made this wooden bead tassel in no time and think the tote looks so cute!

What I used:
wooden beads in 3 different sizes
1. Cut your cotton cord in long strings depending on the length of the tassel you want to make. I cut about 10 strings.
2. Fold in half.
3. Tie one string around the top, leaving a loop.
4. Tie another string through the loop. This will be the string you use to attach the tassel to your purse.
5. Spray paint your beads, or just leave them natural.
6.. Use one of the middle strings of the tassel and add your beads in your desired order to it.
Tip: Wrap some washi tape or duct tape around the top of the string. It will be easier to add the beads to it. When all done, remove the tape.
So easy, right? Now just add it to your purse! I sewed it on to my purse, because I chose to add it to the middle round part of it, but if you add it to one of the handles, no sewing is needed. You can just tie it around the handle.
Pin it for later!!
